Are you ready for some Name That Flower fun again this year? Since it was so much fun naming flowers from northwest Washington and Victoria British Columbia last summer and from the central US the summer before that, I thought it would be fun to test your flower knowledge again this year.
This year instead of flowers from a particular region, let’s name a few of the flowers I’ve seen in botanical and other formal flower gardens. Remember, I am not a flower expert. Far from it, in fact. If not for the identifying markers I saw next to the flowers, I wouldn’t know what they are.
As you guess, start with the photo above and call it #1 and then work your way down. And by the way, I really need your help with the one above. This particular flower’s identifying marker had been moved so I have no idea what it is. I’m hoping one of you do. It’s absolutely gorgeous, isn’t it?
Okay, let’s have some fun. Let the guessing of these glorious creations of God begin!
Name the purple flower here. As a bonus, name the blue one as well. (I don’t know what that one is either!)
And let’s end with another one that I can’t identify. Can you help me out?
Thanks for playing!
