Summer Photo Fun: Vintage Baby!

How about some more baby pictures as we continue on with Summer Photo Fun? This time I thought I’d show you some vintage baby shots. In other words, pictures of me when I was a baby :) And yes, I’m afraid that qualifies as vintage :)

As you can see from the photo above, I loved to read even as a baby :) But from the expression on my face, it looks like The Night Before Christmas scared me to death!

These won’t be nearly the quality of photos as I’ve been showing you the past few posts. After all, they’re vintage :) And the baby is not nearly as cute as the ones Emily shared with us, but there’s not much I can do about that. I is what I is :)

Hope you get a kick out of these. You might even see some things that brings back memories of your own!

If what I’m holding in my hand is any indication, I guess I’ve always been a little rattled :) (Anyone else grow up with blond end tables?)

Did everyone’s parents make them take a naked picture on the kitchen table? :)

I still enjoy laughs with my sister Debbie. Yay for big sisters!

I don’t mind being tied in with a dish towel as long as I can have my toys! :)

“Mom, does everyone else have a cardboard box for a toy box?” :)

I wonder why I’m not more troubled by my lack of hair? :)

And finally, I’m not the baby anymore. Welcome, baby sister Janice!

Hope you enjoyed a peek into my vintage baby life :) See any reminders of your own growing up years?

  1. I love these photos :)

  2. I love these!!!! Beautiful pictures and I love that I can see your face now in your baby pictures. That is the cool thing to me about comparing baby photos to “now” photos. Thanks for sharing!

  3. What fun, Cheryl! I remember lots of those same looks and furniture. :-)

  4. Those are neat. I don’t remember seeing most of these.

  5. Thanks, everyone! Kristin and Kelli, I’ve got these and lots more on my computer. Got them a few years ago when Grandma gave me lots of old slides.

Emily, I love that you can recognize me in my baby pictures. Guess that still makes me young! :)

And Vonda, I’m glad I’m not the only one who still remembers the furniture and other background items! Remember, that must make us cool because vintage is very cool right now! :)

  6. Fun shots! Love that vintage dining room table too. : )

  7. I like all your captions!

  8. I have a similar shot with my sister at Christmas time. It’s a wonder you didn’t get your head stuck between those gaping bars on the crib. How did we ever make it to adulthood in one piece?

  9. Janice, glad you enjoyed them :) And Elaine, your comment made me smile :)

  10. Hey Cheryl, I’m the middle of 3 girls too. 8-)

  11. Loved the photos. I don’t remember most of them either. Please send me the one of us together and the one with the toy box please. I see my teddy bear in it. Back then I guess a toy box was actually a box! Glad you are my sister.:)

  12. Jana, I’m the second of four girls. We had another sister come along when we were almost all teenagers! :)

Debbie, glad you enjoyed the photos! Will send those pics you mentioned sometime soon. I’m glad you’re my sister, too! :)
