Changed Plans

Ever notice how life has a way of changing your plans in midstream? Between attending the out-of-town funeral for one of Don’s cousins and an impromptu visit by our youngest daughter and her intended, my writing time disappeared this weekend.

Instead of pushing myself and trying to write one of my regular posts when I’m tired, I thought I’d just share a photo of our time with Kelli and Jake. It was a quick visit, but we take whatever we can get with open arms and happy hearts. Okay, so I panicked a little first — but I wouldn’t be me if I didn’t do that! :) Truth is, we love it any time our kids can come home.

How has life changed your plans recently? Whether twists and turns are happy or sad, it’s good to know we have One traversing our paths with us, isn’t it? I pray God’s blessings on you this week!

  1. Thanks for sharing your family w/ us via picture…it’s so nice to see the faces.

  2. Boy, can I relate to this, Cheryl. I recently flew up to Tennessee to help out with my grandkids for a week–no writing. But, OH, my precious babies and I had FUN! I’m so glad you had fun with your family, as well.

This week I’m fighting a sinus infection (UGH!) but I am resting in His arms. I will not stress or freak out. Just rest.

  3. It’s been steady as she goes for a couple of weeks. But I know change is coming. Just not sure what that looks like yet, but I’m prepared for its arrival. At least I pray that I am…

  4. Let’s see..a week ago today my husband broke his pinky toe at 6:30a.m. and the break was bad enough we both missed work. 2 doc visits later and he was set to heal. Amazing how something so small can make such a big change in your life.

    Glad you enjoyed your visit.
