Time for Photo Fun continues here on the blog with more from my Childhood Days (see post below). I hesitate to show some of these photos because I seemed to have lost some of the cute factor as I grew older! :) But, because you might get a kick out of them, here goes!
Back in the days of Easter bonnets, my sisters and I proudly sported ours (above – Debbie on the left and Janice on the right). And then…
…a year or so later, we sported them again — though Debbie and I exchanged bonnets, trying to capture a fresh look. Don’t ask me about my bangs, please :)
After the trauma of having to wear the same Easter bonnets too many years in a row, we turned into these very solemn sisters…
And just so you get a true picture of who I was — no, I wasn’t always wearing an Easter bonnet or behaving all ladylike in a dress — here I am with my junior high softball team being my own ornery self. I’m the 2nd from the right on the front row, ready to burst into laughter at any moment. Yep, I was always the crazy one. Still am, for that matter… :)
“I love you so much that I am delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but my life as well, because you have become so dear to me. (my paraphrase of 1 Thessalonians 2:8)
p.s. In the photo above, Debbie is behind me to my left.
p.p.s. And yes, I have three sisters, but my baby sister Carolyn didn’t come along until I was almost through the 8th grade! :)
*The current issue of Life Notes, my inspirational quarterly email newsletter, came out last week. It’s not too late to get it. Sign up is free and to the right!
best friend days for sure…these memories warm my heart…so glad that you shared them~ xx
I can’t see some of the photos the softball one is missing.
Not sure what’s wrong, Elece. It’s showing up for me. And I am very little help when it comes to techie issues :) Maybe if you shut your computer off and restart? Sometimes that helps with various issues…
It has been so much fun looking at your pics and reading your comments!
