Another giveaway? You bet, Virginia. I can’t let the season of giving go by without playing Santa and giving something away here on the blog. So let’s get this show-Ho-Ho on the road! (Sorry, I couldn’t resist!)
What better way to prepare for the new year than to have a new devotional book on hand to help you turn your hearts and minds towards the Word of God each day. With that in mind, the lucky winner of this giveaway will receive his or her choice of one of the four books listed in the next paragraph. Just leave a comment along with your email address (if I don’t know you personally) on this post by noon (CST) Dec. 20th. Any comment will do, but if possible, pass along the title of one of your favorite devotional books.
The four books the winner will choose from are: Beth Moore’s Voices of the Faithful (an excellent choice if you’re interested in missions); Max Lucado’s Grace for the Moment, Vol. 2 (short selections but great stuff if it’s anything like volume 1); Thomas Kinkade’s The Art of Creative Living (excellent for artists, writers, and anyone involved in creative endeavors); and Daily Devotions for Writers, compiled and edited by Patricia Lorenz (I have a devotion is this book!). All of these books are daily devotionals except the one by Thomas Kinkade, and it’s arranged in short selections so can be used much like a regular devotional book.
So what are you waiting for?! Leave a comment, and maybe you’ll be the winner this time. Even if you don’t end up winning, we can all be winners if we take time each day for spiritual thought and meditating on the Word of God. There’s no better choice we could make!
“Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2

I don’t get to read books much anymore, but I do get a daily bible verse e-mail every day. Just taking that time to read that e-mail every morning seems to start my day off right. I am looking forward to the day that I have time to sit down and read a good book (hint, hint…..).
Merry Christmas!
Hi Cheryl. My great-grandmother gives me “Our Daily Bread” quartly. It’s just a short daily devotional.
My favorite devotional is always a word, any word, from the Bible. Never ceases to feed my soul and simply can’t be beat.
Blessings!
Ooo! A giveaway! I love giveaways!
“My Utmost for His Highest” by Oswald Chambers is one of my favorites, but yes, the Bible is the best! Thanks for your good work Cheryl.
Cheryl, I really like “Grace for a Woman’s Soul”-Reflections to Renew Your Spirit.
Every page has one scripture quotation or more and the opposite page has a short message by an author such as you. I must admit that one of the resaons I enjoy having it laying on the reading table is the really beautiful cover. Perhaps not a very good reason, but a gorgeous cover. A friend gave it to me when we moved here from Texas.
I have two of these I’ve used in the past, but the last two would be welcome additions to my bedside table.
Count me in…
peace~elaine
How generous of you to giveaway such great titles.
I may be a bit partial, but one of my favorites is a devotional book I authored, “Lessons from the Littlest: A Devotional for Mothers of Young Children”.
Daily quiet time with the Lord is essential. I’m glad you’re encouraging others to start(or continue) this practice by providing books that point others to Christ.
i dont have a devotional that i read at this time but i do hope i win one from you. happy holidays and good luck everyone wolfbayou@yahoo.com
I love Beth Moore and I’d also love to win the devo for writers…since I’m a writer. Cool giveaways Cheryl!
Hi Aunt Cheryl! You gave me Max Lucado’s Grace for the Moment for my college graduation. I keep it on my bedside table.

One of my favorite devotional books is Streams in the Desert and also My Utmost for His Highest.
You have such a generous heart, Ms. Cheryl. Thank you for offering another give-away! :)
I love “Night Light” by James Dobson.
I would love to gain fresh perspective for this challenging, fulfilling walk God has put me on. I would carry it in my purse/car and read it whenever I get a free moment. God bless and Merry Christmas!
If it’s not to late…I would like to be considered for this Cheryl! Leslie-Ann
I’m not too late–yipee! I love devotional books, too. Beth Moore’s is powerful. I’m sure the others are too.
Put my name in the hat please, Cheryl. Merry, Merry Christmas!

I don’t have one favorite devotional. It always seems to be whatever we are studying in our bible study group at the time, becomes my favorite. I love anything to do with Proverbs 31 and I strive to be that wife to my Hunk every day.
Thanks for the contests!
