Midweek Morsels Straight From the Word of God

Teewinot

In the coming months, I’d like to offer you some Midweek Morsels straight from the Word of God. I’ll still be offering a variety of Midweek Morsels, but in amongst those, I’ll be sharing a few of my favorite scripture passages and praying that they nourish and refresh your souls and spirits in a very special way.

The psalm below just might be my very favorite passage in the Bible—but it’s almost impossible to pick an absolute favorite, isn’t it? You’ve probably read it or portions of it in some of my posts before, but I pray that it will minister to you in a fresh way today. It tells you where my help comes from each and every day. Read and be blessed!

“I lift up my eyes to the hills—where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The LORD watches over you—the LORD is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. The LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.” —Psalm 121

Cheryl, I do like this verse, too. My favorite psalm is 37. It is a concise guide to living life.
