Some things just beg to be expressed through poetry. Miracles are among those things. Be blessed today, friends, through the poetic. Be blessed through the miraculous!
Miracles All Around
Some people say we don’t see
many miracles anymore.
But I see them every day
and all around
when I take the time
to turn a glance into a gaze
or bring a fleeting thought into focus.
I see miracles in perfect tiny infant lips,
in precious fingers and toes,
in pink ribbons across the evening sky
and petals dotted with morning dew.
The miraculous unfolds before my eyes
as leaves turn from green to gold,
as snowflakes waltz to winter’s song,
as the call of a cardinal captures attention.
Miracles greet me in a friend’s hearty laugh
and surprise me in the written word,
they meet me in a chance encounter
they show up in answers to prayer.
The miraculous happens when forgiveness is given
when a kind deed changes a day,
miracles shine when the lost are found
when hearts are forever changed.
Yes, I see miracles all around
I see God’s handiwork every day.
“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 29:2

Love your poem and so true!
Thank you, Debbie! So glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful, Cheryl. I sometimes get these notices on Facebook: “Forward this and you will get a blessing today.” I never forward them. I get blessings everyday, no help needed but God.
Thank you, Pat, and amen to “no help needed but God”. He is the source of all our blessings, isn’t He? May He bless you richly today!
Pat, I’ll have to look you up on Facebook! :)
What a precious photo of your grandson too.

Aww, thanks, Jennifer! :)
I waited a couple days before I commented because my sweet friend had surgery this morning and it went well. My friend was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer 2.5 years ago. The medical staff gave him a limited time that he’d be with us but miraculously, with prayers and God’s love, he’s still with us.
He wasn’t sure of the outcome of his surgery this morning, and told everyone how much he loved them last evening, but
again, God’s love guided the doctors and Jason through
another miracle. Thank you, Cheryl, for this prayer process –
you’ve provided me an outlet of hope and to believe in God’s love…
Tami, what a blessing to hear your testimony of God’s miracle in your friend’s life. Praise God! Also such a blessing to hear that the words you’ve read here have helped you! What an encouragement to me. Will help keep me inspired with my writing! God is good. Thanks so much for sharing!
So beautiful, Cheryl. Your inspiring words are testament to the miracles of each and every day.
Best wishes,
Mairéad
