Old West, Flyer-Inspired Wedding Stationery Idea

Well, Ma of the Bride, is your little bride-to-be cookin’ up some rootin’, tootin’ fun for the day she’s gettin’ hitched? If so, why not add to the Old West rustic fun with some invitations that match the style of the wedding?

Typography style stationery that looks like flyers from the Old West will be the perfect addition to an Old West/cowboy/rustic themed wedding. Regional or era-appropriate wording like “Y’all come” or “gettin’ hitched” can add to the overall fun, too, on everything from save-the-dates to invitations to the rsvp cards. The happy couple can get as down-home as they’d like or reign it in a bit, whatever suits their particular personalities and styles.

The typography style flyer-invitation might be something that the bride or groom or another family member or friend could design fairly easily, too. Saving money is always a plus, isn’t it, MOB, not to mention the personal touch that will always be remembered.

So Ma, if your sweet gal is cozyin’ up to the idea of an Old West, cowboy, or rustic-themed wedding, show her this idea and see if it tickles her down-home fancy. Ya’ll have fun now!

Burlap Ring Bearer Pillow and Flower Girl Basket

Mother of the Bride, if you’re helping your daughter plan a rustic wedding, why not add an extra touch of rustic by using burlap for the ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket?

Chances are you’re already using burlap in some of your décor so a burlap pillow and basket will fit right in. They’ll add the perfect complementing touch, in fact. Like with any color or décor decision, featuring burlap in a variety of places will really help pull the look together.

The photos above and below show how accenting the burlap with lace adds such a pretty and feminine effect. For someone who can sew, the pillow and basket could be fairly easy to make, and if you’re designing and making your own, the possibilities are wide open as to the detail you could use.

So MOB, suggest to your daughter to take rustic a step further and go with burlap on these important ceremony accessories!

Mother of the Bride, is a rustic wedding on your horizon? If so, I might have stumbled upon the perfect cake idea for your down-home country affair.

How about a cake version of the old-fashioned sweetheart tree? The example above is not only amazing in its detail, but it makes you go aww, doesn’t it? The couple’s love is declared right on the cake!

If your daughter feels like it needs a little more pizzazz, some greenery and/or wildflowers would fit in quite well and also add that something more she might be looking for. Can’t you just imagine the possibilities?

Check with your daughter and see if this sweetheart-tree cake idea strikes a love-bird chord with her and her groom. They might just think it’s perfect!

Rustic Wedding Bridal Shoes: Boots—What Else?

Mother of the Bride, if your little gal is planning a rustic wedding, she may want a touch of country in her attire—and that may mean boots on her feet!

Even though boots may clash a bit with the best gown of your daughter’s lifetime, they really can be super cute when you have a rustic theme going on throughout the wedding. If you add a touch of rustic to the bouquet as in the photo below, the boots will even provide that other element that will tie her attire all together. And just think of all the cute photo possibilities!

So Momma of the Bride, saddle up and get in the hoedown spirit. If boots will make your baby girl happy, kick up your heels and join the fun. Boots it will be!

Table or Mantelpiece Décor Idea for a Rustic Wedding

Nothing says rustic wedding like tree branch candle holders, Mother of the Bride. Whether using them as the key element of your daughter’s centerpieces or as décor on other tables, mantelpieces, or windowsills, they add the perfect outdoorsy touch to a rustic themed wedding.

Try a trio of tree branch candle holders for the central portion of a centerpiece or cluster a few different sizes together in other places needing a touch of décor. You might even take a linear approach in certain spots and arrange them from tallest to shortest. Fill out your arrangements with fresh-from-the-forest greenery and flowers or other accents in the color of the wedding, and voila—a rustic wonderland!

It’s hard to beat nature and candlelight, isn’t it, MOB? If your happy couple wants to go rustic, give tree branch candle holders a try!
