Rustic Wedding: Ring Bearer Pillow and Flower Girl Basket

Mother of the Bride, if you’re helping your daughter plan a rustic wedding, why not add an extra touch of rustic by using burlap for the ring bearer pillow and flower girl basket?

Chances are you’re already using burlap in some of your décor so a burlap pillow and basket will fit right in. They’ll add the perfect complementing touch, in fact. Like with any color or décor decision, featuring burlap in a variety of places will really help pull the look together.

The photos above and below show how accenting the burlap with lace adds such a pretty and feminine effect. For someone who can sew, the pillow and basket could be fairly easy to make, and if you’re designing and making your own, the possibilities are wide open as to the detail you could use.

So MOB, suggest to your daughter to take rustic a step further and go with burlap on these important ceremony accessories!

Wedding Photo: Flower Girl with Bride’s Shoes

Mother of the Bride, want some super-cute photos of the flower girl on wedding day? Grab the bride’s shoes and ask your photographer to take a couple of fun shot shots like those pictured here.

Not only does the photo above with the shoes standing back to back creatively feature an article of the bride’s attire, but it captures a precious flower girl’s dream of one day being a bride herself. Such a sweet shot.

The shot below shows off every little girl’s love of wearing high heels—and not just any high heels, but the bride’s high heels. One of a little girl’s ultimate fantasies to be sure!

Waste no time, MOB, in adding this idea of the flower girl with the bride’s shoes to the list of photos you’d like your photographer to take.  Everyone will love it!

Quick Tip to Dress Up Flower Girl’s Socks

6244863647_b874f808cb_z

Mother of the Bride, has your little girl turned bride given any thought yet to her flower girl’s attire? Flower girl dresses are always so sweet, but adding the right accessories can take her attire up to a whole new level of adorable.

For example, why not dress up the flower girl’s socks with darling bows in the color of her dress? The bows can be made from any kind of ribbon from your favorite craft or fabric store, but notice how in the photo above the bow is made with sheer ribbon to match the fabric style of the dress. They are then further dressed up with tiny rhinestones. That attention to detail makes for perfection, doesn’t it?

If you’re not talented at making bows (I’m not), ask around. I bet one of your friends or the bride’s friends is a whiz at it and will be happy to help. In fact, she might even offer—or be persuaded—to make other bows you may need as décor. You never know unless you ask, right?!

So check with the bride, MOB, and see what she thinks about adding this extra touch of preciousness to her flower girl’s attire. I bet she—and the flower girl—will love it!

Flower Girl and Ring Bearer Serve as Sign Bearer

14639141686_5489dbdbf8_z

Mother of the Bride, today I have a super cute idea for your darling daughter’s wedding ceremony. Don’t waste a minute suggesting this idea and showing her the above photo. Cuteness this sweet deserves immediate attention, right?

Just before the bride comes down the aisle, why not have the flower girl and ring bearer help announce her entry? They won’t have to say a word. They can simply walk in together while the ring bearer wears a sign proclaiming “Here Comes the Bride”.

The ring bearer is the best choice as the actual sign bearer. The sign will stand out better against his black tux or suit than it would in front of a flower girl’s dress. Plus, the flower girl will want to show off her dress and be as feminine as possible. The ring bearer on the other hand will be happy to have a more macho duty to carry out than carrying a little pillow down the aisle. A ring bearer never carries the real rings anyway so why not let him do something fun like this?

Letting the flower girl and ring bearer serve as a sign bearer will also provide an adorable wedding day photo. Give your photographer a heads up about your plans for the sign, and he or she will be ready to capture some sweeter than sweet shots.

So MOB, suggest away—and be ready to tuck this precious memory away with all the others you’ll make on Wedding Weekend. Enjoy each moment to the fullest!
