If ever a giveaway bears repeating, the “I Love Chocolate Giveaway”should make the cut. I have a feeling you all will heartily agree :)

So in the spirit of repeating good things, I have a $15 gift card to Godiva for one lucky commenter. To make it fun, tell me about the last chocolate dessert or treat you indulged in. Leave a comment on this post by noon CST on May 8th, and I’ll announce the winner that evening. If I don’t know you personally or cannot contact you via your blog, you must leave your email address in your comment to be eligible for the drawing. (i.e., ckbarker at gmail dot com)

I’ll kick off our chocolate confessional. I manage to eat a little bit of chocolate every day (even if it’s just a few peanut M&Ms), but the last out-of-my-ordinary chocolate treat has been the brownies with chocolate chips I made for Kelli and Jake’s visit home this past weekend. Only two remain at this point :)

Okay, your turn. Can’t wait to hear about your chocolate bliss. And by the way, may chocolate be ever in your future! :)

  1. Well, I actually didn’t have chocolate last night, but Snickerdoodles, which a student made for me!

The night before I had a Reese’s Easter egg. :)

I always have some sort of chocolate in the house – chocolate peanut butter shakes that I made, or cookies or something!

  2. Chocolate… enough said.

My middle daughter makes fondant centers and hand dips chocolates for a family dinner we have annually in January. Centers include mint, cherry cordial, raspberry cream, orange, lemon, and maple-walnut. Then, of course, there are the peanut butter balls. All of them are wonderful!

Absent that, there’s Hershey, Godiva, and Ghirardelli.

  3. About two or three weeks ago, my husband and I watched Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa, make salted caramel brownies, and they haunted us, until we made them last Saturday. They are truly the best brownies we’ve ever had.

  4. Debbie, could you please leave another comment with your email address since I can’t contact you via a blog and since I don’t have your contact info on a personal basis? I want to be able to include you in the drawing! :)

Am loving hearing about all of these yummy chocolate treats!!

  5. Well, about an hour ago I ate a handful of milk duds – yes, before breakfast :) I always have chocolate somewhere – I enjoy mostly chocolate ice cream with of course a little more chocolate on top! Chocolate is a staple in my pantry!

  6. I found a recipe for homemade peanut butter cups so I decided to make them. They turned out so delicious. Almost everyone who ate them asked for the recipe. When we lived in California we loved going to Ghirardelli’s One of our favorite things to order was their awesome brownies! Great giveaway. Thanks!

  7. My latest chocolate treat was a gift. My friend, Anna, knows I’m on the last edits of a novel, and she gave me a gift bag filled with chocolate mint patties to get me through!

  8. My last chocolatey treat was a spoon of “dark chocolate dreams” peanut butter while standing in the kitchen earlier today! I always have dark chocolate bars in the house, had a chunk of a lovely dk choco hazelnut one last night :)

  9. Oops, my comment showed up under Kristin’s name!

    Here it is again:
Last night I had a rockin’ piece of yellow cake with chocolate icing, and I plan to have another piece tonight!

  10. Oh, my….just last night I was SO starved for chocolate that I reached for a box of Gihridla Brownie mix. Complete with chunks of chocolate. Sadly, I ate a good portion of the 8″x8″ pan. (Not too proud of that…but OH was it good!)

  11. I buy chunks of dark chocolate from Winco. (a grocery store with great bulk bins) I keep the chunks in a bowl in the pantry with an ice pick, and then I chip off a hunk any time I want it. A handful of semi-sweet chocolate chips also does the trick.

I’m impressed by the commenters who are happy with a few M&Ms or whoppers or a peanut butter cup. Guess I’m more hardcore about my chocolate – dark, plain, and often!

  12. Hmmmm…do I go with the Barvarian Cream donut that Budg bought me on Saturday morning or the Hersery Treasure almond and toffee candy I ate yesterday? Both were yummy!

  13. I haven’t had the opportunity to eat much chocolate lately but a week or so ago, I had those mini snickers bars…and they were so delicious!
