Mother of the Bride, how about a wedding cake that features a sash and brooch on each layer? Isn’t it elegant and classy looking? The sashes above—featuring pleats, no less—are made from frosting, but your designer/baker could also use wide ribbon at the bottom of each layer and then accent with gorgeous brooches. One of the wedding colors could easily be incorporated into the cake that way.
Of course, the sash and brooch idea could be carried over into other elements of the wedding as well if the bride and/or bridesmaids’ dresses featured them, too. It’s always kind of fun to tie various elements of the wedding together.
